In this course we will learn the basics of line etching technique. We will prepare and prime a copper plate, after which we will draw an image on it with a stylus through the primer. The image is etched into the plate in acid, after which one print is made on paper. We will go through the entire process together. The course is especially suitable for beginners, but also for more experienced artists who want to go through the basics of the technique again.

We will make an image on a copper plate (13cm x10cm). You can make a finished sketch of this size. There will be a lunch break while the plates are etched in acid. Bring clothes that don't mind getting tangled. The course uses a small number of solvents.
