Hevisaurus

Komppi Momppi, Riffi Raffi, Milli Pilli, Muffi Puffi and, of course, Mr. Hevisaurus himself will put on an entertaining stage show in Lounaispuisto which won’t leave even the sulkiest stompers cold. Catchy compositions, brilliant lyrics, and skilful arrangements combined with fast-paced action and surprising twists ensure that Hevisaurus’ gigs are often sold out.

Hevisaurus, a family-favourite band made up of four dinosaurs and a dragon, was formed in 2009 with the idea of making high-quality heavy metal music for children. The raucous Jurassic band has released eight studio albums and has been awarded the best children album Emma twice. Three of Hevisaurus’ eight albums have reached the threshold for gold record, two have sold platinum, and the 2009 debut album, Jurahevin kuninkaat, sold double platinum in its first year.

The long-awaited latest single, Hevimetallisarvet, was released in late 2023. This brazen blasting instantly topped the music charts of many fans big and small. When the first chords of Hevimetallisarvet echo through the air at gigs, the audience immediately raises their own heavy metal horns. Here we go again!

The Hevisauri have also made their way from the Mountain of Wizards to international circles and attracted attention in the United States and elsewhere in the world. For example, the Argentine band Hevisaurios received the award for best children’s album at the Gardel Music Award in 2013.

Hevisaurus is rapidly becoming an international phenomenon, and the saurian heavy metal cry will soon be heard by everyone!

Advance tickets to the LystiKylä closing party 18€ each, group/family ticket 60€ (4–5 people). Free entry for babies under the age of 1. The event is subject to change based on weather conditions. Severe weather may affect the arrangements or schedule of the concert. The grandstand is not covered.
