Registration and Personal Data


Ordering from the online store does not require registration. However, by registering, you can make future purchases more quickly and view your order history. Your email address provided during registration serves as your username, and you can set your password during the registration process. Both the username and password are personal. Customers are responsible for safeguarding their username and password, ensuring they do not fall into the hands of outsiders. Any usage or associated costs incurred using the username and password are the customer’s responsibility.

Customers must provide essential information required for using the online service. The City of Jyväskylä has the right to process customer personal data in accordance with data protection laws and other relevant legislation. Customer information is stored in the online store’s customer registry. The City of Jyväskylä does not disclose customer information to external parties without specific consent. Customers have the legal right to refuse the processing of their personal data for direct marketing, distance selling, market research, as well as genealogical and family research purposes.

Ordering


Customers can place orders either as registered users or without registration. Upon order confirmation, customers receive email confirmation. Providing an email address during the order process is necessary to receive this confirmation. Customers commit to the online store’s terms of use and delivery conditions for each order, as well as any specific terms related to the ordered product. Currently, it is not possible to order products from the City of Jyväskylä’s online store outside of Finland.

Payment Methods


Online store purchases are paid using online banking credentials during the order process.

The payment and financing service related to online banking is provided by Suomi.fi/Paytrail in collaboration with Finnish banks and credit institutions. From the user’s perspective, the service functions similarly to traditional online payments.

Prices and Value Added Tax (VAT)


For orders placed through the online store, the applicable price is the one displayed in the online store’s price list at the time of ordering. Online store prices may differ from those at other sales points. The right to make price changes is reserved. All prices are denominated in euros (EUR).

In the online store of the City of Jyväskylä, product prices include the currently applicable value-added tax.

Delivery and Delivery Time


After payment, the balance and product tickets are loaded into the mobile app immediately. Loaded balance cannot be refunded but can be used at any Ceepos mobile payment-enabled checkout. Sinfonia’s records are delivered by mail to the address specified in the order.

Cancellation Conditions for Registration


Changes to or cancellations of purchased participation must always be agreed upon separately. Refunds are only provided in cases of illness. Illness must be verified by a certificate issued by a doctor or nurse. Customers are requested to contact the designated contact person or responsible party whose details are mentioned in connection with the event. Contact information for these individuals can also be found on the City of Jyväskylä’s website.

The City of Jyväskylä reserves the right to cancel an activity if the number of participants falls below the specified minimum threshold. In the event of cancellation, th City of Jyväskylä will contact the person who purchased the product. The paid participation fee will be refunded to the customer’s specified account. The City of Jyväskylä is not obligated to provide an alternative activity for the canceled one.

Visit Jyväskylä Region Products: Visit Jyväskylä Region products do not have a cancellation right, and refunds are not provided.

Service Maintenance, Usability, and Error Situations


The City of Jyväskylä strives to ensure that the online store operates without errors and interruptions. The City of Jyväskylä has the right to interrupt the online store due to changes, updates, technical reasons related to the online store, network maintenance, installation, or other similar reasons, as well as if required by legislation or other official orders. Any interruptions are scheduled to minimize inconvenience to customers.

The City of Jyväskylä is not responsible for errors resulting from third-party communication services or other communication-related services. Additionally, the City of Jyväskylä is not liable for errors caused by customer misuse of the online store or other customer-induced issues.

Information Security


The City of Jyväskylä adheres to the current data protection legislation and guidelines related to data protection and the processing of personal data issued by the national supervisory authority.

The City of Jyväskylä is responsible for the personal data for which it acts as the data controller. The City of Jyväskylä ensures that appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken to protect personal data.

Devices, Software, and Connections


Customers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining the necessary devices, software, and network connections required for using the online services. These should not cause disruptions or harm to the online store or other network users.

Liability for Compensation


The City of Jyväskylä is liable to the Customer only for direct damages caused by its negligence in breach of contract. If it can be determined that the fault lies with the City of Jyväskylä, any unjustly collected costs from the Customer in the online store may be reimbursed.

Force Majeure


Force majeure releases teh City of Jyväskylä from obligations related to the online store if it prevents the performance of online store-related services or unreasonably hinders them. Force majeure includes events such as fire, earthquake, flood, explosion, strike, official orders, disruptions in energy supply, shortages of raw materials or supplies, externally caused or externally related cable or other telecommunication disruptions, or similar reasons that were not known and could not reasonably have been anticipated in advance. The City of Jyväskylä will promptly notify users of force majeure on the online store’s website if feasible.

Changing Terms of Use and Delivery


The City of Jyväskylä has the right to modify the terms of use and delivery for its online store by notifying customers of the changes well in advance before they take effect.

Disputes

In case of disputes related to this agreement, they will be resolved in the Central Finland District Court according to Finnish law.
