Nature Next to Urban Life Walking Tour

In the Jyväskylä Region, urban life and nature go hand in hand in a rare way. Our tour begins in the heart of Jyväskylä city centre, where we set off from the lively rhythm of urban life and gradually descend toward the riverside.

As the sounds of the city fade, the soundscape shifts into the quiet of nature. Our route leads to the Tourujoki Nature Reserve, a green oasis right in the middle of the city. This lush grove features a 700-metre nature trail that follows the riverbanks and partly runs along boardwalks.

Along the way, you will learn the essentials about Jyväskylä and discover the fascinating history of the riverbanks.
